Review: Corsair K95 Mechanical Keyboard

Corsair K95 Mechanical Keyboard:-

Corsair K95 mechanical keyboard is like one of the best keyboards you can find these days it’s like a luxury car which is made of best stuff. It’s pack with tons of features. Awesome backlights which also allow you set as you like with its software. It’s also allowing you to configure each word backlight which makes it awesome. Corsair K95 is one of the flagship keyboards and have everything that we need from a keyboard. Corsair K95 build quality is pretty damn solid. It is one of the best and most comfortable keyboards I had ever used. The only drawback that you can see is that the price of this keyboard which is 200 USD. So, not everybody can afford this keyboard. But, investment on this keyboard is totally worth it.

Design & Structure:-

As you know, Corsair K95 is one of the flagship mechanical keyboards of 2017-2018. It is a full-sized keyboard which comes with both a number-pad and eighteen programmable macro keys it’s large.  It has tons of features such as each key Programmable multi-color LED Backlight, 3 different profiles button which allows you to change with 3 different profile settings. But more importantly, the K95 RGB is heavy. This is due to the heavy deck made from “aircraft-grade” aluminum and a thick base.

The Cherry MX Speed switches and an uncountable amount of LED lighting sit above the aluminum deck, meaning its array of lights are super bright, dancing off the dark aluminum finish. The K95 RGB lights are super bright and look beautiful as it comes with each key own programmable multi-color LED. Basically, you can set up whatever light show you can dream up with the K95, and it all looks fantastic.

Features:-

The eighteen macros give you a variety of choices of things to do with them e.g assigning a duplicate of button like Setting G1 as A. So, what it does whenever you would press the G1 it would call A or you can open any program or anything else you want to do with those macros it’s upon your choice. Along on the top-left edge, the K95 features three different buttons: a quick-select for three different user profiles. On the right upper-edge, you’ll find a mute button and textured metal roll-bar for volume control. Using the bar to set volume is great and packs in the same excellent build quality seen on the rest of the K95. A standard set of media keys are also placed just above the number pad for quick access.

There is special software for changing colors and setting up macros by downloading and installing (CUE) Corsair Utility Engine. It has super easy user-friendly setups. There’s a wide range of preset lighting configurations accessible through a drop-down menu. From there you can customize anything—color, speed, etc—fairly easily. You can create lots of profiles to use and you can assign them the button value which you can change later on the top-left corner such as M1, M2, and M3. You can save them and use them on other computers by using MR Button as well if you have different computers to work on.  The best thing about CUE is that where you can find other people profiles which they upload and you can easily import them with 1 click. There is a section of Macros where you can easily set that stuff.

As gaming perspective, the Cherry MX Speed switches are best for gaming. The only con in that thing is that there isn’t a massive adjustment to be made if you’re accustomed to mechanical keyboards. But, when you’re not gaming that fast switches can lead you to some typos. To be honest, you become an addict of those switches and after using it for some time those typos would be the thing of past. The benefit you can get with this keyboard you can switch WASD buttons with some other buttons. Which everyone like to do which is a huge bonus.

Conclusion:-

This keyboard totally worth your money as it has awesome features and some best things. Which you can barely find in any other keyboard or in simple word. Corsair K95 mechanical keyboard is a golden piece from Corsair as it has a solid build. I totally recommend it, only if you can afford this. As Corsair K95 mechanical keyboard is a perfect addition on any gaming desk!
